I'm definitely conservative, I might share some view with the GOP but I also share views with 3rd parties.
I'm not thinking about voting for Romney, I AM voting for Romney.
I don't know who wrote the answers, but it seemed to me there was not an appropriate answer listed for most of the questions. I often had to choose the one with which I disagreed the least just to get through the quiz.

The system is going to survive, with or without your vote. Regardless of who it's for. You may have made yourself feel better but you had absolutely zero impact on the system.
If you're lucky, your vote won't matter because Romney will have enough to win. If you're not lucky, you're just going to get 4 more years of Obama.
If you wanted to figure out if you were more or less conservative than Romney, wouldn't you just throw a dart at his constantly shifting statements?
The only important part To me of what you just said is in bold. Romney or Obama? Same damn thing no matter how hard you wish it wasn't. I'll rest easy tonight knowing I cast my vote for who I felt was the right candidate for the position. I really don't care who you think is the right candidate & I especially don't care who you think is the wrong candidate for the position. If the RNC really wanted my vote they would have put forth a better candidate.Quote:

Edit: just looked it up: 66,027 people voted in the Colorado Republican Caucus in 2012. That's out of 871,275 registered Republicans as of September 30, 2012.
btw, yes I know Colorado picked Santorum, but I think there's a general feeling of people pissed at Romney as their candidate, when he won the primaries with ~10% participation. Should be pissed at those of like mind who didn't participate.

What if I told you that Romney wasn't the nominee selected for our precinct or more precincts in this state for that matter? Does ANY of that change the fact that Romney is the nominee and our ONLY choice for Republican candidate on the ballot? Nope. So who cares? Does personally attacking me somehow make you feel better? I'm subjected to ridicule from several others here because I support Romney. But I think I've laid out my reasoning and my position very well. I don't think he's the same as Obama. I don't think I have to make a choice between two evils because I don't think Romney is evil. I don't think the democrat party = the republican party. I don't think the system is broken. As a matter of fact, I think the system works just fine. It just doesn't always work out the way I want it to.
Romney is not my ideal candidate. But he's the one that our system, powered by voters, chose. You just don't like that it happened that way. Well I got news for ya...that's just too bad.
Ron Paul, Gary Johnson nor any other libertarian is going to be president. Get over it already. A libertarian is not likely to get elected in your lifetime. The sooner you come to grips with that reality the better off you're going to be emotionally. Really. Either Mitt Romney or Barack Obama is going to be elected (or re-elected) to be president for the next 4 years. Period. No one else is going to be elected to the presidency regardless of how much you piss and moan about how lousy those two choices are. Personally, I would much rather have Romney in the white house. As a matter of fact, I'd take Mitt Romney to be president until the end of time (or at least my time) rather than take a chance another Obama would come along.
I have faith in this country and I have faith in our system of government. I don't share the same degree of faith in some of the people employed by the government. But I'm not ready to throw in the towel on the USA just yet.
All differences aside, at least everyone here votes or voted. That's what makes this country great, politics aside:)
Now back to our regularly scheduled disagreements.
