It's not a giant safe that says I have stuff inside. I kinda want one.

That's pretty spiffy..but it would be so out of place in my little house. [Flower]
TIM K needs to make these!!!!
That is pretty cool.
I have a perfect place in my office just waiting for something like this!
Sweet, wish i could make one
That would be awesome to have! Makes me want to pickup carpentry as a hobby just to make the fiancee a bookshelf. Little would she know, I'd really be making myself something cool!
Fireproof wood? TimK, get back to us on that too...
This video just gave thieves a better background knowledge!
sure hope the little magic book that opens the cabinet is handy when you need it [ROFL1]
Wow that is super cool! I will be making something like that. It wont be that big but along those same lines!!
Man that is awesome!!
WOw! All these ideas I have had in my head wrapped up into one thing.
I wish I had talent with wood working. [Bang]
Anyone that would make something like this would be insanely busy cause I would would want one.
Moving from a home to an apartment in the immediate future I am searching for stuff like this. [Beer]
At the risk of just blatantly advertising my business, this stuff is easy. There are no technical challenges. The features all all simple to execute, though somewhat time consuming.
If any of you DIY types need a little help, feel free to give me a call. I'd be happy to help with design assistance or sourcing hardware.
For those of you who really want one...warm up your checkbooks and give me a call. I'm wishing my own home was not completely full of built-in furniture like this or I'd whip one out for myself. There's got to be someplace...
I build furniture as a hobby. If I was able to pick it up, anyone can. I've built a variety of furniture with secret compartments and openings. I've even built a couple pieces on commission when I was a college student.
Having said the above, I'd advise against getting into woodworking as a hobby if you are uninclined to spend a lot of money. Whatever Tim K builds you as a professional, with professional equipment and years of experience, is going to be cheaper and better than anything you are likely to build yourself without either of the above.
"Easy" to build or not, that whole thing is pretty damned clever!!!! I certainly couldn't build anything like that. Freakin' awesome.
I definitely like it!
I'd definitely be interested in having something like it!! That's awesome.
FYI for the DIYers, those magnetic locks he used appear to be baby proofing locks sourced from Babies-R-Us. I still have a few around the house protecting stuff from the kids and they are not cheap. They are handy until you loose the freaking magnet. Just be sure to be well aware of the mounting location or you will be all over the place looking for the lock.
I was thinking that a good thing to build with these same ideas would be a headboard for a bed. We're still using this headboard from an old waterbed from the 80's, because we like the storage and the cubbyholes. But a custom-made headboard with similar features AND several hidden secret compartments? THAT would be awesome!!! Hidden storage for handguns and long guns on the sides? I wouldn't know how to act.....

Looks like the video is gone, anyone have a link, I missed it.
Damn thats a bummer, I tried searching for it and couldnt find it.
Oh well, THAT sucks! I wanted to pass that video along to some people.
No one remembers what it was called, or anything about it? If it was posted on the internet it still exists out there somewhere.
This might be it: Try this video on this page.
Here's another link with the person's contact info. It's called "Q Line SafeGuard" systems.
Q Line SafeGuard hidden in plain sight
Awesome thanks sellersm!!
Much appreciated
Awesome, just saw that on facebook as well.
Yeah, my headboard pictured above.....I'd LOVE to have a hidden compartment on the side just big enough to keep my M1 carbine in, or an AR, or even a shotty. I don't need or want to hide an arsenal in a bookcase, but a serious h/d weapon hidden that close to the fartsack would be perfect! Hidden in plain sight and accessible in seconds.
Matthew, the guy that made the one in the video, says that one was $3500.
