Makes ya wanna say fuck it and go find a new job sometimes...
Officer of Lakewood PD and now Detention officer in Crowley prison.
Not a good day!!!!!
Wife is having issues as my Daughter is weeks away from graduating from an academy. What do I say to her?
This just goes to show people how much LEOs and military personnel do for the average citizen. Putting their life on the line everyday for people they dont even know.
RIP
Makes me wonder if your Daughter and Gunner's family member are going to the Adams County academy...
You tell her that it's really not as dangerous as it seems... Yes, it's dangerous, but you really only hear about the bad things in the news. You never see, "All the cops went home safe tnight."
This happened back in September if I remember correctly. Still, it is not a good to loose any LEOs.
Scooter,
please don't think I'm being disrespectful, but the Crowley County incident was in September, not today.
The wife sent me that link in an email and I didnt even think to look at the date. Sorry for the disinformation. It does support my concern for my wifes feelings on these matters. As many know, you end up with a lot invested in a child, and them making their choises in life is sometimes difficult for parents.
FYI, Gunner takes care of my other daughter....
Is the story still the Lakewood PD still that another officer shot him?
I need to dust off my old LF account and see what they're saying over there. I know nyeti over there was super-big on target ID training and "breaking the tunnel vision" to make sure you don't just see gun -> shoot, exactly for these reasons.
Also wonder if these officers' training officer is being put under the microscope right now.
