Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. To those of you who can't be with your families because you're deployed, know your sacrifices are deeply appreciated. If you're one of the guys or gals pushing a cruiser around or waiting for the next alarm in the firehouse, same thing. Thanks for being there.
Also, I know some of you are having a rough time and this time of year often makes it worse. Keep your chin up...things will get better.
Among the many blessings in our lives the wife and I are fortunate enough to have the son and DIL coming up Sunday for a belated Thanksgiving/early birthday dinner. Wife will be on-duty in the ICU on Thanksgiving day. I finally have a job where I don't have to work on holidays or weekends and I get paid for not working. It's awesome! I didn't know there was such a thing.
And, yes...it's my birthday we'll be celebrating early (actual b-day isn't until next Thur). Of course, gifts will be graciously accepted from all of you.[Coffee]
