Man I know it's wrong, but lately I want to reply on some of the post WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In before the close. [Pop]
Whats got you bothered? $600 Glocks?
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone had too...
[Coffee]
$600 Glocks was going to be my guess too. [Awesom]
You guys ever shot a $600 used glock!??
effing amazing!!! Well worth the mula!!
[ROFL3]
But if it already has 1000 rounds through it - it's already broken in for you! That's less work you have to do, so it's worth more than retail, right? What if I throw in a ziploc baggie full of random reloads and mixed headstamp? That's got to be worth an extra $100 at least! No? How about a couple ratty old holsters my fat ass has been sweating on? Surely that ups the value over MSRP!
also. . . in before the lock.
Well, it never hurts to put it out there and see if someone will bite. I will gladly take more than a gun is worth if someone is willing to pay that. I recently sold an unconverted Saiga with a few bolt on accessories for 1K. It's not worth that, but someone was willing to give it to me, who am I to say no?
Ultimately it is buyer beware... If someone overpays it is ultimately thier own responsibility for not doing their homework... That being said I just saw some steel cased .223 rounds on Armslist for $.50 a pop, need to get back over there and grab them before someone else does!!!
So does anyone want my Gen3 Glock 22 that's 6 years old- all broken in! And includes 2 extra 10rnd CA legal mags and a used holster! $600... a steal! [ROFL1]
Post it up, Ronin! Worst that can happen is it sits in the TP for a few months to serve as a point of reference for others. For the ad you'll want to disassemble the weapon to an unnecessary level and make sure you get good pictures of the rust and grime on the roll pins.
Thats not as bad as the $1500 plus "custom" AR parts guns built with cheap ass parts!
Seriously, and to boot they are steel cased. I think people are still riding the wave from the election trying to get these prices. I purchased my last big round of reloading supplies about four months ago so hopefully by the time I need to buy supplies again things will have calmed down...
Sniper must be working... I see no mention of $500 lowers....
It's just been a lotta different things but jezzzz
You mean like the ad saying
EXCELLENT OVERALL CONDITION except for where it fell and broke X, finish worn from holster wear and approx 5K fired, faded night sights AND some minor surface rust But overall G-VG condition.
2 trains of thought
1)IF it isn't LNIB don't jerk me off saying it is and the gun looks like it's been in the back of a truck the last 5 years.
2) There is a seat for every ass. You will to pay the asking or agreed upon price, not matter how much above MSRP, Who cares?
I, for one, could not possibly care less if someone wants to pay more than MSRP for used gear; doesn't affect me in the least. You have a few options when posting an ad: 1) price it low so it sells fast; 2) price it above market and hope some sucker bites; 3) price it above market so you have room to negotiate down to what you really want to get out of it. I think most people here go for the last option, but I've certainly seen some of option 2 as well. Usually those ads sit for a while because the majority of folks here who are looking to buy actually know what the item is worth.
Definitely not bitching about it, just pointing and laughing. Like jim said, to each his own. [Beer]
I agree- and having now sold 3 cars (I hold on to 'em for a while) I fit into category 2... Price a little high, with your ideal price lower, and some room to negotiate the price. Problem is, I'm about to be in the market for a Sig P229 Elite, MSRP is around $900, I don't usually see any for less than $1,000...
To be fair, I think it's more like someone buys a $500 glock and adds $150 worth of mags and stuff and then tries to get $600 for the package. And they also paid tax or transfer fees.
Cheap bastards.. If you think it's too high, move on. Noone owes you crap. [Coffee]
I personally don't loose sleep over the prices in the tp. Why do some people think they are entitled to a cheap price? If you can find it cheaper elsewhere than do it.
I like the cheap AK's that 3 months ago were $550-$600 and now they are $900
But but but......
They lowered the cost from original pricing ! :D
I really enjoy reading Trading post here.
So far, my favorites were.....
1. Feeler debate
2. ~$5000 SCAR16s few years back

Armslist is even worse, People just dont research what things are going for and then get irritated at "lowball" offers
Everyone complains about armslist frequently but I have gotten some pretty good deals on there and with the exception of a few jackasses, have met some pretty good dudes. Have walked away from a few deals from jackwagons but have a pretty positive experiance. Nothing wrong with trying to make a buck but dont try to sell me a 600 M&P shield cause they are "hard to get." All boils down to people are willing to pay for what they want.
My favorite was the $1700 AK on armslist that had some super sweet/ awesome UTG rails and OMG IT WAS JUST SO AWESOME I PEED MY PANTS WHEN I SAW IT.
Really I did. I may or may not have bought it.
I laugh at $600 Glocks and promptly move on.
it's because of the devaluation of the dollar.... your $600 buys $400 worth of stuff from 4 years ago
