Tis the season of depressed folks, alcohol and prescription drugs... Then you add to it all the people that believe that the world won't see 12/22 and they decide the rules no longer apply. Then they started targeting civilian gatherings. The government quietly encouraged CCW so the next time some guys with AK47's walked into a cafe everybody shot them. That's when they went to not so smart bomb or suicide bombers. Somehow I don't think the Hick would suggest this reasonable way of dealing with mass shootings..

Hmmm, I believe the reasonable response here is that these need to be GUN MANDATED zones. Where if you are of age, mentally sound, physically capable, you are trained and are required to be in possession of a weapon at all times when in these areas. For the safety of the public. These are gathering places where folks feel at ease, but make nice targets for any coward out to "make things right" for some percieved afront to his/her dignity.

But by and large, the American public is not stupid and not anti-gun.
