I hope this won't be like gas prices and will go down
so I need to get me a .22 to go plink with until this shit passes, full fucking retard.
[hahhah-no]
How are they still in business after the 08 bs
They need to change their name...
How about "Cheaper than ObamaCare" or "Cheaper than Obummers Vacation".
What? It's only a dollar a round. Might as well go to the strip club with that money.
This is absolutely ridiculous.
i forgot to call them to cancel my catalogs after the 6-$ pmag bs....this just reminded me
midway has quite a few brands in stock I just ordered 5000 winchester hv for $264.99 was 20 bucks off with a code (20101212)

I suspect rimfire ammo will be the fastest to replenish, but who the hell knows. I have always liked Midway for finding ammo online for reasonable prices.
If CTD can get $1K for a case of .223, more power to 'em. I suspect they'll sell just fine.
AND, it look like they have decided to not sell any guns either.
Any firearm link you click on has a new banner saying they don't sell guns: ex: http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/2-SW812000
That damn near gave me a a heart attack. $1/round. [facepalm]
Saw this at a local shop as well, and laughed right out the door. This shit is getting downright ridiculous.
People are willing to pay obviously. If not the price will come down.
No offense but I always love the guys who defend any business practice. Our criticism of them is just as much part of the free enterprise system. At the same time I wish I was making that kind of money.
Exactly. They have the right to price their product however they want, and we have the right to tell them to go fuck themselves and hope they go out of business.
I am sorry I bought from them earlier this year - I didn't know about the 08 gouging. They have clearly forgotten who butters their bread.
Whatever the market will bear...however, I, and many like me, have long memories. Short term or long term business plan?
After CTD pulled similar stunts post-'08 election, I vowed never to buy from them again. However, in the ensuing years, when I'd want a particular item and surfed around the web (back when Google allowed you to compare gun items via their "shopping" link), CTD was often the least expensive option for the item I wanted (note: I did not say need, these are optional items we discuss on this forum). MY own personal economy is more important than making a statement on principle and not buying from someone. If I choose to boycott a company that is the cheapest option, and choose to pay more of my money, it's affecting exactly one person: me. It's not going to hurt CTD any more than folks boycotting Barnes & Noble or Amazon helped save the corner bookstore 20 years ago. Two years from now, if Americans are still allowed to even look at guns in a magazine, if I need a particular item, I'll buy it from whoever happens to have the cheapest price on it. I'm not going to hack my nose off to spite my face.
If that viewpoint makes me the devil, well, the media has already demonized anyone that owns a gun so stand in line.
