More magazine and accessory options for the Saiga.
But Veprs have always been cool.
It's got some nice features over the Saiga12 but my biggest concern is magazines ... I'm assuming the 10 and 12 round after market S12 mags won't work with it (not to mention the 20rd drums), so you're stuck with 5 and 8 round Russian mags?
Yeah, I'll take two of those.
I'm in love.
damn... all the good stuff are so hard to find....
actually.. for a minute there i thought you got one...
.. the clp part... that one is on you [Coffee]
If only I had an extra $1k available - and these were available too....
The Vepr 12 has some nice features, but its lacking the robust feel of a saiga 12.
as for mags, modified promags seem to work.
I like this. Who has em?
i do
Some pro's and cons when compared to the S12. Mag well, easily removed gas tube and bolt hold open are nice to have. I don't think I'm too big on the AK sights for a shotgun nor does the rail do too much for me (especially with the FTE issues the video posted showed).
I'm also curious if there is any damage done when shooting different loads. I can make my S12 eat anything, so long as I have the gas setting allowing the most gas into the gas tube. When I do that though, I sometimes see some marks on the rear of the receiver from too much force from slugs and such. I have the CSS low brass kit installed so I get four gas settings as opposed to two.
From the few demos/write ups I've read, the VEPR will eat anything, but needs to be adjusted for light loads. This may become my next acquisition if I can find one. If that Feindstein witch gets her way, they'll be banned.
Tell me about it! I just bought a Saiga 12 a few days before Christmas, still waiting on my BGC to clear. I want to open my own broken TV and other appliance junkyard/shooting range/masculine therapy lounge. Drop off your old crap, shoot it, and leave feeling better about yourself.
Whoever invented the shotgun was a beautiful person. "What if I made a gun that can shoot lots of bullets at the same time?" they thought. Then someone thought "what if I made my gun that shoots lots of bullets at the same time do that over and over really quick?" and I've been smiling ever since. I no longer have a use for the Victoria Secret models. HAHAHA just kidding. I can't get MYSELF a beer now can I? Especaily when my hands are full of SEMI AUTOMATIC MAGAZINE FED AK-47 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN now can I? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH *sings* God bless America...."
I lean more toward the Saiga for the availability of stuff for it, but if it came down to it I'd take one of these. If either were really an option right now, that is. [Bang]
