Just as the title states... Who watches ancient aliens?
My wife is all intrigued by it. I have caught several episodes. I like the the one talking about the "Grays" and how they have evidence of them in different parts of the world and times in history.
Makes you wonder......................
I've seen a few episodes. The crazy greek guy with the frizzy hair annoys me. I've found there's about 5 minutes of information in each episode that's thought provoking, and the rest is just whackjobs that are hurting the case of alien existence.
ME! Great show although sometimes a little farfetched. They make a great case at times and then really stretch at ohers.
I'm watching the current episode and they're comparing the types of stones we can move now a days (limited by weight) versus what some of the stones actually weigh for the great structures of the past. We still can't move the weight that they could move nor match their tolerances... Makes me wonder. We do have dynamite though... But dynamite doesn't really make hair tolerances.
If we built such a great structure wouldn't we have documented how we built such a great structure? Where did the technology go to build that structure?
I watch on Fridays. I have always enjoyed Erik Von Danniken. Georgio is humorous. He drinks too much coffee, uses too much hair gel and spends too much time in the tanning salon.
Let's not forget that a ridiculous amount of writing - especially about the ancient world - has been lost to us, and a lot of cultures just weren't that big on writing stuff down in the first place.
The reason we know so much about the Egyptians, the Greeks and the Romans is because they loved to write stuff down.
This might ruffle some feathers on here given some are really religious.... But is it possible that the "gods" or "god" is really an alien and the bible / other books are just fake?
I watch a ton of crap but I'm kind of proud to say that Ancient Aliens isn't among them.
Naw....I was there.

I am an Alien, came here for the beer, hot women, Snickers, and the Doritos.
Just waiting for my brethren to come pick me off this FLYING MUDBALL before SHTF. [shithitsfan]
Clarke's Third Law: Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
Just because we don't understand it, doesn't mean it was aliens. It means we've lost the technology, at least temporarily.
I watch it on occasion. The one that intrigued me the most was the area where the huge stones are cut into intricate prices that fit together so tight no mortar was needed.
we pretty much know how they moved rocks these days. the egyptians with the pyramids, mayans with their temples and stone henge. all figured out. half of these civilizations had no writing, the other half were conquered and had their crap burned to ashes and in the case of the egyptians it is thought by some historians we lost 1000 years of knowledge in the burning the of library of alexandria.
now how they cut stone and such we don't know. but we give our ancestors far too little credit. people don't realize how advanced civilizations were getting before the dark ages. that set us back big time.
The Symarians wrote everything down. They have one of the most in depth languages ever written. They had carvings of the solar system (correctly put I might add, including the moons), the land masses that we call continents (including the mountains under the northern ice cap which we didn't have a picture of till recently), and had slightly the same story as christians (other than their "god" announced that they were from a different place). Oh, and they lived 6000 years ago.
I've tried to watch that show, but the frizzy hair guy kills it. Besides, they get all of their information from other places which you can just search out and find for yourself without the frizzy haired guy.
There are tons of facts out there that many people, ok, most people have no idea about that just have absolutely no other explanation other than to take the ancient peoples word for who gave them the information, "visitors". There are quite a few ancient cultures that have an almost identical story as the christians one, and that took place before that of the account of Jesus. The info is out there, it just needs to be looked up. Talking to most religious people about (what could be) aliens, is like talking to liberals about firearms I have found. No matter what you put in front of them, you're wrong. < Not directed at you Pancho.
We all come from "The Other Planet". Do you actually think we evolved from apes? Crawled out of the ocean and our fins became legs? Shortly after the Roswell incident, Congress passed the National Security Act of 1947, giving us the US Air Force & the CIA. The technology on "The Other Planet" makes us look like primitives. And yes their "cars" can go faster than the speed of light...
It was a bet to see if we would destroy ourselves or figure out how to get along as a species - I'm thinking the alien that bet on destruction is odds on favorite!Quote:
Are you referring to the nephelim (sp) theory? I say just about anything is possible, but why would they mysteriously leave after building all that stuff?
That dude looks like he's stoned out of his mind. Is he from Boulder?
Okay this should be interesting, tonight, 6:00 pm, right now on H2. "Ancient Aliens and our Founding fathers."
I haven't seen this one yet, but probably some of you have since it is a repeat from 2011. [Coffee]
I get a kick out of the show. I think some of the arguments are far fetched but there are also some interesting tidbits to be found. I suppose the big hair guy ( it's bigger this year, btw) would be more annoying if I did more than just listen to the show. My hobbies are too involved to actually watch the tv.
I find it amazing that I am the first person to post the meme pic.
