Not looking to break the bank. I use my knife almost daily and am pretty rough on it ( that means I do stupid things you shouldn't do with a knife ) so I'm looking to spend between $50 and $100.
I like the looks of the Emerson Commander but it is obviously out of my price range. Something along that style is kind of what I'm looking for.

SOG Flash II. It's a great knife but it's best feature is how deep it sits in your pocket.

Nice. My current piece is an S.O.G. but it has about served it's usefulness. Not sure about that one though. I have my knife in and out of my pocket frequently throughout the day and my hands are usually filthy. I don't want to have to fish around for it quite that much.

Spyderco 'Paramilitary'. Mine has survived things it was never designed to do.
If you can get a spyderco or Benchmade in that price range they are well worth it. I love my benchmade but spyderco is local so that is always a plus.
I have an older Spyderco. I think it's an Endura? It's a bit larger than I like and the blade is fully serrated which I don't care for.
They have lots of models...let me know what your preference is, and I'll see what's available.

Kershaw.....I have had the same knife(more or less) for over a decade....I brake it send it back and they send me a new one
I'd rather have one that doesn't break so much. I had a Kershaw years ago that I got off the Snap-On truck. After getting it replaced multiple times, I finally gave it to a friend and got something else.Quote:

If you can afford to go a little higher on your budget, 135.00 to 150.00, I would recommend taking a look at a Zero Tolerance 350. Tank of a folder. Made in the USA, not too small, not too big. ZT/Kai USA has superb customer service as well.
I am looking for a EDC as well, problem is I want to handle a variety before I buy. If I cannot open it easily with one hand I won't get it, and although I am military I am not looking to get a spring assist. Don't even want to bother with the grey area.
I absolutely LOVE my CRKT M21SF. Can be opened upon drawing it from your pocket like the Emerson feature, and it's a tank. The Veff serrations can cut through most anything. I do need to sharpen my knife though. Just been waiting for the memory the come floating into my head when I'm at the store.

This is so far my favorite EDC, its the ZT 0350, I modified the handles though. I was never too big a fan of re-curve blades, but this one has been beat for 2 years straight and its still going strong!
∆∆ I tried carrying a ZT-201 for a while. I liked the knife but was WAY too big for my front pocket.
I've had two ZT0300's and each time I buy one I am immediately reminded why I let the last one go: heavy & huge. Build as well as any knife I've owned though.Quote:
