That's what happens when you buy an iPhone. Personally I use an FTP app and my own web server.
Really? I use it all the time and never have a problem. Maybe try uninstalling and then reinstalling.
Yeah my photobucket works great.
I like smugmug but it's a pay site
Photobucket user here too.
I love imgur... and they have an app for that (android). [Beer]
Google Picasa has free hosting; plugs into the free desktop app and comes free with Gmail. Very slick!
I use imageshack. Granted I don't upload many photos from my phone.
I use imgur simply because it doesn't require you to create an account. Understand that whatever you upload is not private.
A web server in your home? Careful using FTP, sir. It is a notoriously insecure method of transfer, easily hijacked. I'm sure if you set up your own web server, you understand this. Just make sure you have compensating controls in place.
I use flickr. I like it alot. The iPhone interface is nice. All I do I open the app and select what pictures I want to upload. They also give multiple size options and they don't expire your pictures after a period of time like photobucket does.
I use photobucket in the private mode with the scrambled image names setting and password protected albums.
imageplay.net is my server... I am doing few upgrades at the moment, so excuse the mess.
O RLY? I just upload it to this server. But I use SCP most of the time.

Some image servers allow for 'private' accounts wherein the server doesn't have RF distribution rights to the images. Other servers don't allow earmarking some content one way and the rest another way and have rights to all of the content (non exclusively). While this may not matter to some users, it's impact can be wide ranging: do you really want that photo of your five year old used to depict an abused child in an anti-kiddy-porn campaign on London bus stop posters? "nonexclusive worldwide royalty free distribution rights", or similar clauses in an image hosts' "terms of service" basically (and legally) means the content you have hosted there is available for any and all uses.
Proceed as y'all see fit, but please read the fine print before jumping onboard with any server if privacy matters to you in the least.
