Just picked one of these up. Don't know how many people have them bet it seems like its going to be good. Trigger sucks but we are going to change that. Found this write up and it seemed pretty good.

Great gun Slapps, I bought one for my wife and she loves to shoot it. I shoot it more than she does and am usually the one cleaning it. Breakdown/reassembly sucks at first with that spring, but the youtube vids on it are great. It's the most accurate .22 pistol I've ever shot.
I have a Mk II Competition model that I used to shoot bullseye with for years, and one of the best things I did was put a full Volquartsen kit in it. I have not tried this on a Mark III, but on my Mark II I had issues with combustion products building up in the lockwork and causing the trigger pull to get crappy until I cleaned it. I found the info on making a shield to prevent it, and it made a big difference.

I have a few of them including the ruger lite. Only reason i went away from the MK II's is position of the mag release, euro-US / nato
Bought one as a Christmas gift to myself a few years ago , my trigger is very good , takedown is not simple it is crude , accuracy is poor on its best day. Normal Ruger QC ; all over the map! Most folks seem to like them ; mine is just poor!
I bought one few months back love it as much as the old mkii I had as a kid. The first thing I did was get one of these http://bushing.webs.com/ to get rid of the mag d/c and over at rimfirecentral there's a guy selling filler pieces for that plastic chamber indicator.
My wife got a Mk III Hunter for her birthday. We shot it at the range a couple of weeks ago and I thought it was pretty good out of the box. There were 3 guys at the range shooting mk III's as well. They told me they had done the bushing replacment and had a guy in town remove round in chamber indicator on the side and replaced it with a milled piece of metal to close the hole. They all had some kind of red dot sites and were shooting 200 yrds with insane accuracy. I got to run a mag through one of these modified Mk III's and was quite impressed. The wife doesn't want to modify hers, so i've got a mk III on my to buy list. I was really impressed.
We bought my wife a MKIII Target SS about a month ago. Totally accurate out of the box. She has struggle a bit with the black on black sights. I think Dawson Precision has the best fiber optic sights for these, unless you really want to go the optics/red dot route. For now she threw some bright nail polish on the front sight. It's also important to note what distance the sights are setup for out of the box as well. I always seem to be right on with the pistol, she shoots low. This is at like 25ft. I explained they probably have it setup for 25yds from the factory, so at 25ft it will shoot low, which had been her problem. Today she was much more accurate, but admitted she had to aim a bit above her intended target. Her groupings are always awesome.
We did a Steel Challenge match the other week and she did very well for being a new shooter and her first time. I think she will do much better in a few weeks when we give it another shot (pun intended).
Finally! Up to 6 mags for the MK III ! About $150 in 4 of them but ow well!
Woo hoo! We had three show up last Friday just in time to go do steel challenge at Weld. One of them was a bit wonky, but seemed to do okay. I picked up a 10/22 a few weeks ago as well, ran that last weekend with my pistol. I don't think we will be able to go to CRC for the one later this month unfortunately.
Found a black 22/45 lite earlier at SW and didn't buy it. Three hours later went back to get it but it was gone. Fail! I am kicking myself now.
I have one and love it. I put a dot on the top and its now the steel challenge/bowling pin/plinker pistol for my son and I. Only thing that sucks is getting mags - hard to find and they are now about 30 bucks a piece.
