Besides ammo what do you keep in your cans?
Hell, they're good for all kinds of stuff....I would think the list is endless.
So?
.22LR in this ammo can, .40 S&W in that ammo can. .45 ACP in the other Can, .556 in these cans. Beanie babies in this one...?? Daughters...grumble grumble
Brass...
And first aid supplies.
Tools, random small gun parts, etc.
M&M's.
You know, for emergencies.
Ammo of course. Most of my stick magazines are in ammo cans if they fit. I have a couple that have all the stuff to make the particular round, reload dies, powder, bullets or shot, and primers. Emergency supplies in my van- water, bandages, energy bars, that kind of stuff.
Basically anything I want to protect.
Seriously? I'm new here and don't want to piss anyone off.
It's a container that keeps out moisture, and has a fixed amount of space within it. You can store anything you want that will fit in that container. A tow strap for instance, cold weather stuff like gloves or knit hats, food or water bottles, tools or hardware, maps, beer, herb,.....whatever man.
I'm not being a smart ass, Peace brother.
I do have one in the back of my truck with various emergency supplies.
Unclaimed body parts...
Sheet, 10 posts happened before I got a response in.
I have one that I waterproofed and bolted to the front right corner of my truck bed as a little survival kit. Holds a stripped MRE, sealed thermal blanket, Combat Gauze, an Israeli bandage, a couple tourniquets, water purification tablets, fire starting stuff.
nag champa
Hell, now I have to ask what "nag champa" means.
They make great beer coolers when in a pinch. I use mine for pinstripe paints and brushes. Great for hauling guitar cords and misc stage bs as well.
farts mainly and sometimes just regular air . ever since that boating accident i dont have much use for ammo , but the practical joke of someone opening a fart box is priceless so i keep the boxes [Gas1][Gas2]
Ammo cans within ammo cans.
Fart box...nice
Hell, they're good for all kinds of stuff....I would think the list is endless.

My lunch box for work
M&Ms as a snack are hard to beat- you get a boost of sugar, it's an agreeable flavor that doesn't fight with coffee, and is a small shot of nostalgia. Every base I've been to has M&Ms offered as a snack.
I don't know what the military folk do in the hotter climates, though- I've never dealt with that problem.
The reason for the ammo can and M&Ms has more to do with keeping mice away than portability...
How dare they include such candies in MRE. Wait until the sasquatch and bigbird find out about this and correct this error like with the school lunches.
i had to stop eating m&m's because the defective rate was too high . way too many 3's , E's , and W's , it was maddening ![panic]
I keep some knives in mine, magazines, survival stuff, ammo of course.
I plan on repainting them this summer. I'm going to color code them for different types of ammo, etc.. I keep forgetting which ones are .22 and which ones are .223 and so on. Hopefully I dont forget which color is which ammo. I'll have to stencil the caliber as well. :)
These are all completely empty, but maintain a 2.5 mile distance in case of fire just to be safe.
Ammo in one, in the other? Gun parts, ear plugs, shooting glasses, gun tools, other things.
I have a couple 50 cal cans (1) is the cook box for camping and include utensils, pots, pans, grittle, etc. and the other is chains, tree saver and tow straps.
Groover..
Tow chains, tire chains, flammable liquids, MRE's, fuel bars, tool kit, first-aid kit, ratchet straps, bungee cords, add some trays and store nuts and bolts, nails, hammers, trailer hitches, camping equipment, jumper cables, bottled water, spray paint, pistols, magazines. Ohhh and ammo
Another thing about M&M's is that the chocolate (non-peanut) one's keep enough freshness to stay consumable for years. With the whole "melts in your mouth, not in your hands" characteristic of them, they don't melt all over everything like other chocolate products do and don't get rock hard like other candies. In other words, they are great quick-energy candies that hold up well over long periods of storage.
Oh, and I use my ammo can's for ammo. Even though I make sure all of my cans have good seals, I use plastic bags inside the cans to help decrease effects of moisture. I stencil my identifying image onto all of them (Mandolorian Mythosaur skull - Star Wars bounty hunter clan image) and use label maker labels to identify the caliber inside. By using the labels, I don't have to repaint the caliber if I ever re-purpose the can.
