um....what?
pretty sure this was all the wonderful people in my neighborhood this morning, people in SUVs and Big trucks forgetting that 4 wheel drive doesn't do you much good when you are on ice
but they had to get to the store
Ohhhhh, this is what unpreppers look like.
The first thing I thought when I read the title was "Tie back your hair". Hippie.
I almost stopped playing that video 10sec in, didn't understand what was going on, then he said snow.
A friend posted pictures of the shelves in Walmart just outside of Kansas City, MO. They were practically empty. No toilet paper, no milk/eggs/butter, no bread.
I see no point in rushing to the store for that stuff right before a storm. Mostly because I hate people and don't want to deal with them. If I run out of milk, I eat oatmeal instead of regular cereal with milk. If I run out of bread, I'll eat soup instead of a sandwich (or substitute ritz crackers with pbj or tuna).
I made great use of the snow day, and went to the ZOO! Had the whole place to ourselves. And the animals act different when there's no hordes of screaming kids running around. Gotta dress like you're skiing, but it's fun.
I went out long enough to blow snow before the wife got home from work. Early enough to shovel out on the off chance the blower broke. Finished ours and did the usual walk two houses up and even blew out half of two neighbors driveways.

[hammer]So you're a rice-burner too. Just kill me now.
Dude- you need something you got it. Gotta have it?- we'll work it out!!
I got a call this morning at 8:00 am from my mother-in-law. She needed to know if we were able to come rescue her if she got stranded in the snow. She was only leaving her house because she had coupons at Walgreens and Rite-Aide that expired today. [panic] What I get a kick out of is that she's a CO native but still freaks out in bad weather.
Lmao that's the crap I had to drive with this morning.

I went to King Soopers in Monument today. I was surprised to see how many people were out and about. Seeing a Honda Accord backwards and in a ditch on my way home made me laugh. The white powder makes people crazy.
That is nothing compared to Atlanta in the very rare occasion they get snow. They have shut the entire city down before.
