I'm actually thinking his choice might have just cost him the election. He would have got the votes from the people who never wanted to see a woman or a black man as president. I'm sure he'll get some of the womens votes just because his vp would be a woman though.
He can't go after Obama's lack of experience hard core anymore since she's young and only 2 years as governor. Dems can throw back how old he is, and how she might have to take over his presidency.

I thought it was an excellent pick. She is the true conservative this ticket needed, and she's well, a she.
I think initially the press will try and make this a bad pick, much like they tried to make the Biden pick a good one. They'll spin it for awhile, the sheep will nibble, but once they get to know her, they'll all come around.
She has more experience than Obama, she's young, she's pretty, and she's conservative. What's not to like?
This pick will only help to bring the conservative fence sitters on board, bring the hillary voters on board, and won't in any way serve to weaken the ticket in my humble opinion. Lets face it, the liberals aren't voting for McCain as it is, so who cares what they think. I don't think anyone is going to jump ship because of this pick.
Agreed, she was a great pick and pulls the conservative base, anyone who thinks McCain is too old, women, minorities, etc
The only people who vote for obama/biden are the hard core liberals and they were voting for them anyway.

and smart for the future of the party. If McCain wins, now he has a VP that can run. (whereas cheney couldn't do that, biden won't be able to either, not that I give a shit about the dems)

Republicans and Democrats are the problem. Independants are the solution. It's sad that everyone believes they have no chance. I'm willing to risk loosing everything if it means we have a chance at keeping our constitutional rights allive, I'm just surprized that more people are trying to take the easy fall instead of actually stand up for the only chance that we have.
Soldiers are willing to risk loosing there lives defending this country and we arent willing to risk loosing our rights quicker in order for a chance at actually keeping them? Kinda spinless in my opinion.
If i'm told i'm going to die in 5 years or if I get operated in the next year with a 50% chance that I will die and a 50% chance that I will be fully cured, I'll gladly do what I can to be fully cured even if it risks death. What does it matter if a have a few more or less years when the end result is the same? At least I'm going down with a fight and not just taking it up the ass :)

I think Johnny did good with his choice. I didn't see it coming, but aside from her serious MILF status, she is a dyed and true conservative, like much of Alaska's population (ask me how I know) and she brings a strong potential with her to the ticket.

I was praying Mcain would pick her but in all honesty I thought it would be Romney. I was about the happiest mofo alive when I woke up this morning and seen Mcain picked Palin.
She is one straight shooter and takes no crap, she is very bright, her integrity is impecable, she is very well spoken, she has proven through her actions she serves the PEOPLE, I would be proud to see her as the leader of this great country.
I am not a Mcain fan and would have bit my lip and punched the ticket, now however I will actually feel good when I cast my vote. I know Mcain did what he did for political reasons, However I am not sure if he realizes the can of woop a$$ he just opened. She is what every politician should be in my opinion.
As far as Delphi, We have all volenteered to donate a one way ticket out of this country. I feel the only hope is for us all to contact NASA and see if there is any way we could donate to them.
