This will be my first season for turkey, looking for some experienced, non experienced person to possibly hunt with or share information with. Open to either Miriam or Rio. Any fella with some helpful info, post up!

Don't wear ANY white. Those fuckers are smart. Someone once told me that if a deer sees a hunter it thinks its a log, if a turkey sees a log it thinks its a hunter.
Going Sunday in Wyoming, to a ranch where the turkeys have never been hunted before.
Private Ranch Rucker? Sounds like a good time. Planning on anything local?
HCWT, the speaker at a DOW class said anything that moves or is colorful a turkey sees as a threat and assumes it is going to kill it, so away it goes!
Big game hunted every year, but thought a hunt with less chance of getting snowed in with some enjoyable weather would be cool, so I'm gonna give it a shot.
Also going to Wyoming. I'm not boycotting this state but in my experience hunting in Wyoming is a lot better for me.
I'm going with my son and dad next weekend. Hopefully will be able to get my son his first turkey.
Something I've always wanted to do. Good luck to you guys going out! [ThanksG]
I drew in one of the best units in Colorado. My neighbor shot the
last radio collared and tagged bird up there last year. His decoys are literally full sized taxidermist done up birds you would be more than proud to display in your home.
Ill also go to my buddies private property west of fort Collins and see if I can find the elusive long beard monster that resides there.
I am going in a couple of weeks to a friends property in Missouri. This will be my second year going.
95% private doesn't leave a lot of room for me, but while your on private you could push a few my way!
I buy a tag every year because I live in the hills. Little bastards are always around except for hunting season. Gona get lucky one of these years!
Not
3 of us are headed to KS. on Wednesday. The 13 y/o that is going also drew an eastern Colo. tag and I'll get him out there in a couple of weeks to try to help get that one filled.
Good luck everyone.
going to give public another try this year. I was so close to having private but thats life. oh well i hope i can get one. Good luck to the rest of you.
What's the score for the first day of Colorado turkey season guys? 4 of us went on public land and saw a dozen other guys but heard squat. Nice day though, only gusty for a few minutes. Are they gobbling yet or what? We shot our ARs and kept the brass, nice sunrise and hot lead still made it a good day. :-D
I was planning on hunting the panhandle of NE this year, but talked to my uncle and they're all on the river, and the river owners lease to cabelas...fk i hate big money sometimes. As for central NE, i have a chance out there, but damn i hate the drive. The other option is hit the mccook area, once again...d
I think I'm going to just do a few couple day trips on public and see if one walks in front of me, just haven't decided where yet.
Leaving Saturday for 3 days in Nebraska. Been hunting Elk and Deer for 35 years and Turkeys are definitely a big challenge. They can see for miles it seems. Anytime they see anything move, they are off and running. If they could smell, they would be almost impossible to kill. Can't get enough of them, though.
Finally got out this weekend, and we went three for three. I got mine in a successful ambush near the roosting trees behind me in the photo. Shotgun at 40 yards.

Congrats! Looks like a real nice bird.
Awesome
Two of us got Merriams and the last guy ended up with a Rio. Great fun was had by all.
Rucker, awesome work! Were you in state? I haven't made it out yet [Bang]
Very nice...... as soon as the wife's out of school next year, I intend to make this a hobby.
Nice bird! So far only heard a few gobbles last week and my hunting ground is covered in snow again now. Lots of tracks but both toms i found were henned up.
Rolled this Jake out in Nebraska, bowhunted for 3 days and it was pretty slim going so I used the gun on day 4.
Pics to come tomorrow...yeah that's right!
Well, maybe next year for me. Nice pics for guys that got a spring bird. Does CO do over the counter tags for fall birds?
A few pics from my hunt!
