the A J thread rants /raves

im not a fan and tend to lean towards thinking he is a nut at best . just wondering what the fine folks of coar15 think of him ?is he helping or hurting the country ? [Pop]

I'm not very familiar with him, but I don't think he did us any favors during his interview with Piers Morgan a month or so back. He kinda looked like a lunatic toward the end...

His delivery needs some work,lol. Made us look crazy with Piers. I don't really check him out much, wonder how much is true though?

Total nut job. He may be right sometimes, but overall I think he does the conservative cause more harm than good.

I think it's telling of the over all opinion on here that the mods remove links to his stories frequently to avoid boosting his ratings. I think he's doing us far more harm than good. I'm a rabid conspiracy nut too, but I tend to restrict my venom and overall craziness to this forum. Wouldn't be inclined to spew all over national TV, if I was purporting to represent conservatives at large. I don't like AJ, and I don't care much more for Ol' Rush "Oxycontin" Limbaugh either. Mike Rosen is a decent guy and a fairly level-headed commentator.

Alex Jones is the Yang to the MSM's Ying. I can't watch either without risking damage to my TV.

He has brought out a lot of stuff that is true and needs further investigation. However, he usually takes these stories so far down the road that they become a sideshow at a circus.

I would agree with you on the "needs further investigation" bit - but you have a sift through a lot of garbage to get there.

Just another person exercising their first amendment rights. I have never listened to him and Dont know him other than what I did for a quick Google search before posting this. I can hardly believe he is worse off than the MSM and their constant attack on the right, the ACLU, all sharpton etc etc...but I Dont listen to any of their bullshit so I Dont know.

Probably one of the best descriptions of AJ I have heard. He does provide some really good info but one has to see through the drama and embellishment.
Does he do the right side of the aisle any good? I don't feel he does. He has gone 'Tard too many times and therefore his credibility suffers and is dismissed.

Kinda reminds me of the Greek goddess Cassandra: was able to speak prophetically but cursed so that no one would believe her! I think he lands on some nuggets, but the 'drama and presentation' leave much to be desired.

Either way though, he's free to say whatever. I'm not going to be the one to call for his right to free speech to be limited...

Here is MY "conspiracy theory": From its inception, one of the primary objectives of Central Intelligence has been the manipulation of news media, both foreign and domestic, in order to influence both public opinion and government policy. Repeat an unsubstantiated lie often enough and people start to believe it is fact . . . especially if it is actually partially or possibly true. This has happened many times throughout History . . . back in the 1940s, the news media was referred to as "The Great Wurlitzer" (a popular brand of jukebox) which they could make play whatever tune they wanted. Some stories are actively suppressed, insignificant events become front page distractions, and distortions or fabrications are reported to be true (often appearing in the NYT and WSJ a day after the AP picks up the story from some Third World nation).

I believe there is a very high probability AJ is, indeed, a "tool" . . . indirectly funded by Central Intelligence to discredit all conspiracy theorists. "If you believe that X occurred, then you must also believe Y and Z occurred because AJ says so." If nothing AJ said was true, no-one would pay any attention to him . . . but he has blown his credibility so many times asserting things that are obviously false, if not ridiculous. Yet he is a very wealthy man with an audience of millions. There is just no other excuse for him . . . and I can understand why the government would feel he was a valuable asset . . . after all, he is the most popular conspiracy theorist out there, and they want control over what he says. He is not "exercising his 1st amendment right" . . . he is collecting a substantial paycheck simply for making the script he's given more interesting to listeners.

He takes healthy paranoia and distrust of government and is like a direct nitrous injection and pushes it over the line. I consider him a douche extraordinaire for his comments about 9/11, especially after I had the chance to meet a couple of the FDNY survivors. There is a lot of his students running around FB over the last few hours claiming that he's right, this bombing was a false flag perpetrated by our own government, yada yada yada... I have a distrust of our current overreaching government, but to stage terror attacks like 9/11 and the Boston Marathon bombing, that's a bit too far fetched, even for my wild imagination.

Not for mine... I don't think 9-11 was orchestrated by the gov't (would have to have too many people involved and somebody would talk eventually.) but I do believe it was the most beneficial thing that's ever happened to their agenda. Allowed to happen? I have no problem believing that.

Oh allowed to happen, that's believable. Perhaps the push needed... but honestly, absolutely zero warning about yesterday, not surprising. As big and powerful, and all knowing, all capable as people think our government is, they really aren't that competent, for the most part. I could just as easily believe they really had no damn clue- both here and on 9/11.
