Not that I disagree with anything you are saying but... I was there when all of these points were brought up at the so called 'public' hearings.

They did not care. I am sure they expect this to all go to the courts. They said as much at the town halls. And I quote "We can make any law we want. It is up to the courts to decide if they are constitutional!" The was stated in front of over 140 people at the Smokey Hills library town hall. By that logic it would be ok to pass laws saying women can't vote and slavery is ok. Then we wait for the courts to say, nope. Obviously that is not the way it is supposed to work... But here we are.

To be clear I would not agree with ANY of these laws!

Most of what they pass is harmful so I'm all for them filibustering as long as they want. We need fewer laws and less government spending -- both goals are thwarted when legislation is too easy to pass. What this country needs now (besides an enema) is another Silent Cal.
