Just finished building this a couple of nights ago. Finally got the final couple of parts I needed.

I've got a 1971 Chevy Cheyenne 10. It's a long wheel base so I'm looking to eventually shorten to a SWB, improve the suspension, drop an LSX and T-56 in it while keeping the classic truck look.

Sweet, trying to decide what I'm gonna do with this one, drive it as is, drop a turbo'd LS in it, or put a cummins in it. I'll probably drive it pretty much as is for the summer, then do something this winter.

The Cummins idea would make for a very unique truck.

why not put a toyota motor in it? that seems to be the go to powerhouse around here lately, for 15-20 grand you might even break 300 hp

Actually my buddies building a 1967 Toyota Stout pickup that'll have about 400 horses of 4 cylinder fury under the hood.

I don't think a Toyota motor would have enough grunt to get this tank moving.
