Took a minute to recognize you with that Mtn man growth. When they do scenario stages, as madmike mentioned, your game goes up another notch or two.

The look on Mikes face was pretty funny. Introductions, shake hands, crack on him for forgetting ammo and call him to firing line. That "Who? Me?" look.

If the IDPA made you feel like a rookie, you should definitely try the USPSA stuff.

Honestly, don't. Get a good 3-5 matches under your belt and then consider alternatives. All trigger time is good time and there are so many forms of competition, one will certainly meet your tastes.

IDPA is certainly the cheapest of the action sports, but it is not the easiest. I just think it is cool to see new people get out to matches and then continue on. We have some top shooters here in CO that started with a CCW course and/or an IDPA match and are now winning higher level matches. The people are generally some of the best as well, but shooters do like to encourage new people to spend more and more on the hobby/obsession.

I'm the one that shot first in the last batch of the day that didnt seat my mag all the way and got the prosedurial for not doing a tac reload before moving to the barrel

I do plan on trying more of these out... heck, I'm even telling everyone at work (that I know that carries) that they need to check these events out.... good fun all around no doubt.
