Don't know where you got that but I could go all day, until the battery runs out.

I've experienced both, however both can be ineffective. OC lasts longer and can contaminate others and yourself however you can fight through the OC. We had to fight after getting sprayed and it is possible. Taser is also affective but it does not affect everyone.

OC- It works good when there are more than 1 people to deal with. I don't care the wind is coming from the back. I am getting some of OC.

Taser C/X/M series- Good application for one-on-one. I try to make sure there are no sidewalk bump, obsticles, and/or any place they can bang their head on. They will drop like sack of potatoes. If they sh1t/urninate indoor, you gotta clean your own carpet//floor.

Big ole can of Bear Spray (from Bass Pro) dropped my 285# drunk cousin on a dare...

"Tasers" (L.E. correct me) can't be bought by civilians (they have gun powder) and they screw you for the price and to reload (one & done)

Check out "Phazzer" same idea as a Taser- shoots barbs, rubber, OC and a Taser has 50-55k volt Phazzer (1st shot) has 65k volt

Never researched OC at all, but several of you mention Fox Labs. What is better, the cone fog or stream? I realize a stream requires more aim, but wouldn't the cone fog result in more blowback in your own face too?

And yes, I've heard that bear spray is the best thing to carry if you can, because of the much larger size and effective distance of the can. Granted, I also read somewhere that a can of wasp spray is better yet, but don't remember why. I think it had something to do with no one will question a can of wasp spray sitting on your desk in the city, but a can of bear spray...

Old Tasers (before the Air taser 34000) had powders on them and was classified as firearm.
OLD Tasers such as Tasertron TE-95, TF-76/A, (TE and TF series) are classified as firearm, and had to go through FFL.

    Modern Tasers such as M26/C M18/L , X26/C, C2, X2, X3 just use compressed nitrogen.
Only reason I "know" about taser real well is because my former employer use to cover their company since mid2001(initiated).

As you mentioned Phazzer and Stinger from Karbon arms are alternative to Taser products.

LE Tasers will not "stack" time. Now after the person on the wrong end is done taking the initial 5 second ride you can pull the trigger again for another 5 second ride and so on until the battery is dead. Maybe that's what you're talking about.

I don't know where you got your info but the LEO Tasers will stack if you hold down the trigger and keep it down it will go till the batteries die (at least mine does). Many LEO have gotten in trouble for this.

I'm guessing we have experience with different versions. From Taser publication published January 2012:

5‐Second Discharge Cutoff and Trigger Reactivation Necessity for an X2 ECD with an APPM.

The X2 ECD may be programmed with an optional automatic shut‐down feature (the APPM) that will stop a continual trigger discharge at 5 seconds (even if the user continues to hold back the trigger) and require an additional trigger pull by the user for an additional cycle.
