I was in law enforcement for most of the 10 years the 94 Crime Bill was in effect. Not once...NEVER...did I hear of a local officer or state trooper enforce any provision of that law or refer someone to the feds for prosecution. Not saying it didn't happen but I think it was probably pretty rare.

I think for most officers, unless a gun (and related items like magazines) is used in an obvious crime like robbery, murder, assault or it's stolen, things like magazine capacity just aren't on their radar.

For the most part I think people are way overthinking this whole thing.

But that's just my opinion and experience.
CSP brings in maybe 2-4 people a day. All on warrants.

Some days I never even see them come in the back gate...

    So you're probably still right.

Bailey, you are largely, 99.999% correct. And then some years ago, I got involved in an incident where a CSP trooper decided it was his job to detain a truck full of hunters with properly tagged game while he got the District Wildlife Manager to drive out to tell him what a properly tagged deer carcass looked like ....

Oohhhh...Title 33. That's really uncharted territory for most troopers (though not in the more rural areas).

Definitely not Jensen's problem that CO made a douche move and banned normal capacity mags. Hard to believe a gun owner wouldn't know the specifics of the law if he's making a road trip to Wyoming for mags. I guess they should put a legal notice outlining exactly what you can and cannot do. If they are specifically telling people they can legally buy mags in Wyoming and bring them into CO as residents then there would be a problem.

A lot of people do not understand the fine points of the law we've debated in great detail here. I think that they are implying that buying them in Wyoming and taking them back to Colorado is legal.

When dealing with his superior on behalf of my client, I offered to tutor the trooper in my hunter education class for free. Wasn't taken up on the offer....

I don't see how they are implying anything, I see this as a way for Jensen Arms to recoup sales that they can no longer have in Colorado.

Even though I think I already have enough legal 30rd. mags, if I were in another state and decided to buy some more, well, there's still USPS Flat Rate Boxes or Fedex, or UPS. And I have brothers in OK & TX.

    Just sayin'.....hypothetically, of course.
