"I appreciate your interest in purchasing the M14 magazines I have for sale and respect your decision to serve the people of your community in the honored profession of law enforcement. However, these items are currently restricted from ownership/possession by the citizens of your state. As such, I can not, in all good conscience, sell them to you simply because you are in an exempted class. I'd like to recommend that you continue to serve yourself and fellow New York citizens by working to overturn these draconian laws. Once again, thank you for your interest."

Let him deal with his states laws just like we have too. So he is a police officer and as a result he should have the same weapons and mags that the citizens of his community can buy nothing more nothing less. There should be no exemptions regarding the 2nd it should be a right for everyone regardless of what you do.
