The oxygen tank explosion on the Service Module of Apollo 13 on April 14, 1970 was really caused by an errant bullet from an AR-15. This demonstrates the amazing properties of the AR-15 in that the projectile first passed through the Earth and then into space where the unfortunate incident occurred. It was a miracle that the bullet didn't first hit the ocean, as the Earth may have also been destroyed by the hydrostatic shock exhibited by this small high-speed projectile leaving an AR-15.
