Just keep an eye on it and let me know, I can take a more in depth look at your entire situation rather than just fix the obvious like the dog chew. Let me know if it blows up again.

Thanks USMC for helping keep the return clean. His dog was likely responsible for some Upstream SNR issues.

Can you Comcast guys tell me if there has been a lot more evening maintenance or something since the last speed upgrade (last month or two)? I thought that swapping my modem out fixed my disconnections, but I am often up working late and have seen a few nights in the last week or two where the link drops after midnight for maybe an hour or so. Sometimes a hard reboot cures it but not always. It was so reliable for so long, that it's all the more noticeable. I'm just south of E470 and Smokey Hill if that matters.

I wouldn't be able to tell you anything about the south side of town as I work the out of the north side of town, and the Head End - Fiber - Node - Mainline maintenance is a separate group of people than the installation - Home repair techs.

Not to hijack, but since the OP seems to have gotten his issue resolved, and my question has to do with Internet, it seems more appropriate to ask here instead of opening a new thread with a simple question.

We upgraded our Century link from the 20mbps to the 40mbps connection, and now when looking at the link speed through my phone, it's measuring in the 65-75mbps range. How accurate is this? I'm not complaining, but I'm not used to getting more than I pay for lol.

Go to your modem's config page ( should be like 192.168.0.1 .. just type that in the web browser ) and see what the link speed is .

    Mines currently connected at 50111kbps or ~ 50Mbps... I'm only paying for 40 ...
