Yea, was worried about that sounding kinda "neener neener"
    didnt mean it that way..
just trying to convey how concerning that topic is to me

Im lucky to have her.. We do with less to have this option however-
plus down here in pueblo- daycare would equal whatever she would earn.

    No worries

If it hadn't been for my wife getting a great job literally right after our son was born, she was going to quit the job she had (dish blah), and stay at home.

    To the OP:

Like others have said, definitely home childcare over daycare centers. My mom has been in the childcare business for nearly 35 years, both out of her home and running her own center. She eventually quit the large scale childcare and went back to home childcare. According to her, she didn't like having to rely on her employees to give the level of attention and care, that she could give to a smaller group of children.

Another thing to consider is finding someone who is as "like minded" as you are, since they will essentially be raising your child part time.

Lastly, it's not possible to find a childcare provider that will care as much about your child as you do, but if you find the right one, they can do a Damn fine job. I remember several times, my mom attending sporting events for her daycare children when their parents were working late or whatever (after hours, and for the same daily rate), just so the kid had a familiar face to support them.

At any rate, good luck with the search!

I really wish I did but we truck our son 25 minutes one way to a great in home daycare with like minded people. It's been good for him to be around other kids and he's getting some super early preschool out of it.
