Default Man with gun, bulletproof vest spotted 2 nights in row in Arapahoe County

CENTENNIAL, Colo. - There are stepped up law enforcement patrols along the Highline Canal in Centennial after a man with a gun and wearing a bullet-proof vest is spotted two nights in a row along the canal.
The first call came in Tuesday just before sunset The Sheriff's office received a report of a man wearing a bullet proof vest and holding a pistol in his hand. He was described as white, wearing khaki pants, and a blue shirt under the ballistic vest.
A short time later, he was spotted a few blocks away at Milliken Park.
A witness told 7NEWS she saw a man on Wednesday with tactical gear on and a gun strapped to his right leg. The 911 dispatcher told her not to approach him
The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office said the man's apparent open carry is a violation of park rules set by South Suburban Parks and Recreation.

The sheriff's office also notified Littleton Police who sent officers to help search for the man. So far, they haven't found him.

Let's see I know at least 3 members that live in that area How does one ID a bullet proof vest by simply looking? In any case, dont be a dumbass and stop getting unnecessary attention onto yourself.

Do park regulations prohibit open carry in South Suburban Parks? I am asking because I do not know the answer.

Two nights in a row, same area, decent description, and they still haven't found him. Possibly a Ninja? It doesn't sound like the local police are looking very hard, but that might be they have a higher rate of domestic violence calls with it being a holiday weekend.

They have a consulate here in Denver on 17th street, could be they're teaching locals their ways.

I found the "park rules" on their site. http://www.ssprd.org/Portals/0/Parks/ParkRules.pdf

That PDF lists "Weapons, including any projectile weapons and fireworks" under prohibited. I have no idea how much legal weight that holds.

The can bar open carry.Concealed with CCW not affected, they can't touch you, as long as it remains properly concealed.

Thank you for the answer. The jacket tax strikes again.

Ignorance truly is bliss for so many people. If they do not see the gun, they aren't scared.
