You had to go "there" didn't you.

Let's hope A&E doesn't do just what you said. That would just be the absolute low of lows for a t.v. show. Not to derail the thread, I do hope the men and Duck Commander come to an agreement and get Phil back on the show. Damn political correctness is still shoving this country into a downward spiral.

I honestly don't think this is A&E shoving their beliefs down everybody's throat. They saw what he said as a threat to their ability to sell advertising on the show to companies that bend or break to the will of people. They made what they thought was the right BUSINESS decision for their advertisers. Advertisers this day in age don't want to alienate any group of people. They were thinking with only their pocket books and the black number at the bottom of the ledger. I'm sure they thought that if they kept Phil on the show that black number would turn red.

Family morals, and support of lost out many years ago.
When I grew up we all ate at the dinner table, we said grace.
We hunted birds, hogs, etc with our principals, coaches, uncles, Dads. Mom worked but made time for our lunches,
we rode our bicycles to school 3 miles because we were to close for bus service.
We didn't have all this BULLSHIT video games, video shit, cell phones, ipads, blah blah Shit.
We didn't have school shootings, we did have race riots in high school but it was all about the beat down, we even took our shotguns to school. We didn't have a 10' wall around our school, we left campus for lunch, we stole our rivals mascots before a BIG game but never got arrested.
America has become a nation of PUSSIES, and liberal fuks. Unless the young peopele of today wake the fuk up and grow some then we will continue to spiral down to the level of 3rd world countries, and that is what our government wants.
If oprah can say that Conservatives need to Die to help our country then we need to reply with Revolution to restore our country is Duty.
There are many here on this forum that will fold and give in if the Government tells them too.

I WILL NOT I will die fighting for the America I grew up in and the Constitution of these United States.

A lot of validity to that theory, no doubt.

That may indeed be part of the thinking behind the decision, but I think they may have miscalculated this time.
Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".

I find it amusing how the LGBT community want the Robertsons to keep their lifestyle in the closet.

I don't think so. I would bet the vast majority of the people that watch the show either have the same beliefs or really don't care one way or the other. Therefore the advertisers would have nothing to worry about.

I think this is just a way for A&E to try and push the show more the way they want it. They originally wanted they show to be like every other "reality" show about a family, lots of cursing and fighting and they didn't like the prayer at the end.

I personally think it is wrong to fire this guy for voicing his opinion. He harmed no person directly. I think it is vindictive and counter productive. The only thing it accomplishes is dividing each side further.
