Today I put a 556 Tactical Stryker Compensator on my wife's AR. She likes the way it looks, I hope it works.

Threaded 3 barrels, mounted a bipod rail on a Winchester, sandblasted two barrels, tuned and polished a 1911 extractor and changed the sacked recoil spring, cleaned a Remington 721 and took in 3 new jobs.

Installed new sights on a slide, installed a new tube on a Benelli M4, and spent some time polishing receiver rails on my MG34 semi I am building.

I chronographed my 40X in the shop today. I'd shot Eley Target through my Savage and got 1,044 fps. The 40X was giving me more like 1,07 fps today. Different lots for sure, but the barrel may also be faster. It's 6" longer.

The bullet hitting the steel was LOUD!

    7 shots, SD = 5, 1073 fps average.

Tim, have you ever thought about using one of the .22 bullet traps?

I am now. Shooting at steel made a huge mess.
