    Those are cool but the downfall would be needing the key in a bad situation? What's the best setup for using a switch mounted remotely?

    Why not just use magnetic cabinet door closures and not even lock it?



    Or you could use the kind that "pop out" like a stereo cabinet.



    I'm thinking that for under stairs the ideal setup would be to put drawers under the stairs that are held closed with the pop-out style magnetic catches.

    absolutely useless.

    your baseball bat would be more useful in that situation.

    a hidden biometric switch would work though
