I heard (through the internet) good things about them.

AK's will come down in price just give it some time. No one is buying them at current prices. All the shops I have been to in the last 8 months still have all the same rifles sitting there. If you have to have one right now Jensens has pistolgrip conversion saigas for 850$. I would wait the prices will come down soon.
Don't be stupid!!!!!
Waffen Werks are no better or no worse than pretty much anyone elses. They use ESS barrels, which are the industry standard. You can do much better with a custom barrel, etc, but they are good guns. Certainly not the best, but they go bang.
Waffen Werks is owned by the brother of Stefni, who owns ARAK, and their dad used to own Tennessee guns until the partner fall-out a few years ago. A lot of shit-flinging and controversy on both sides, and lawsuits still involved.
And dad is the county sheriff, too, lol.
Anyways, like I said, no better and no worse. But overpriced.
I think it's Royal Tiger that has 74s for $550.

Russian receiver, Russian BCG and Russian CHF, chrome-lined barrel for $499 is a heck of a deal compared to all the other options right now. I'd take that over a Waffen Werks or Century parts build any day. You can convert the frontend as time and cash permits.
Unlike 7.62 caliber AK's ranging from WASR to Krebs. There are not very many competitions in the 74 market, so the price are generally higher.
