Yeah. Women are clearly to blame for society's downfall.

I believe I understand where the author is coming from, but vilifying women as the reason boys aren’t the way they were when he was growing up doesn’t earn him my empathy.

Every generation looks back with nostalgia, and looks at the present generation with contempt. It’s a given. I certainly do. If I had my druthers, I’d take my useless nieces and nephews and shove them into the nearest military boarding school that I could find. When I was their age, I’d already been working for a year and living on my own.

In my opinion, the qualifier the author is seeking is the difference between progressives and feminism. It’s not the same thing. Feminism is usually tarred with one big brush rather than understanding that feminazis don’t represent the entire gender. Sure, the media loves to put a spotlight on the radical women; it sells copy. Feminism is defined as “the advocacy of women’s rights on the grounds of political, social and economical equality to men.” Do you understand what that means? That means being able to have a bank account and make your own financial transactions without having to have a joint account with a man, or have his permission to withdraw more than $30. It means having the same pay rate when you’re doing the same job. It means being able to hire movers to pack out your stuff when you PCS, and NOT have to plant a kiss on all of them because they have suggested that if you don’t, it may not all make it to your destination. Does this make sense? It’s damn hard to be a manly-man in this society, but it’s equally hard to be a female that has struggled to gain equal footing. So when I read articles written by a man that is subtly blaming the “pussification” of America on “feminists,” I have to wonder if he honestly knows what he’s saying. Using dirty names designed to denigrate women doesn’t make me feel warm and fuzzy toward him or his site where he tries to “humorously” highlight the difference between men and women.

It seems to me that he’s pointing the blame at an easy target, when an even easier target is more available: progressives. Progressivism/socialist philosophy touts “equality” but does not provide a solid road map as to how to get there. Family values are eschewed as “old-fashioned”; instant gratification is held more important than the satisfaction that comes from hard work. The biggest casualty of today’s youth is the concept of responsibility.
I read a truly excellent article written by the mother of a teenager that helped to explain a problem that could develop into a major problem as they grew up: their inability to get and keep a job. There are several issues that bring this problem to bar: high unemployment, illegal immigrants taking the jobs that used to be the purview of teens, and minimum wage restrictions. These three events combine to limit teenager’s abilities to learn the foundations of a good work ethic. I’m paraphrasing, and if anybody wants to see the article in its whole, PM me and I’ll send it to you.
Concern that today’s sons are all turning out to be Justin Biebers is legitimate- but don’t point the finger at women. We’re liable to bite it off and explain your mistake later. Point it instead at decaying values brought on by progressivism. We women are just as concerned about it as you guys are.

I think you`re right, but this is as far as I got before my beautiful wife called me and my boys to breakfast. Or brunch as the fags would call it.

    Excellent points TheGrey.

you can't blame women for wanting equality, if you want to point a finger, point it at those who gave it to them. Same goes with all the social programs, you can't blame the users, you can blame the people who created the programs and let the loopholes in that allows it to be abused.

Find you a good woman that agrees with your ideas on how to raise children. Sure, you won't come to an agreement on everything, but my wife and I are pretty close when it comes to how we want our son to be raised, and give him opportunities at every sport we can, access to real world hands on stuff instead of watching it on tv or reading about it in a classroom.

every group out there has an agenda for children. The NRA gets them into shooting and hunting programs, PETA wants them to love all animals, not eat them and hate all people who harm animals or eat them, others want to make kids okay with gays and be open to express themselves and suppress all those who oppose them. The list goes on, it just depends on what programs and groups the kids are exposed to. That is where parenting comes in and you don't allow your kid to attend the presentation or the day of school when such things are taking place, don't like it: there is private school and home schooling.
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.

I don't think this is the point of his writings.. He is saying that we need to raise our sons to be powerful leaders and men capable of leading and caring for a family.

Personally, I like strong women like those portrayed by Robert Heinlein or Anne McCaffrey. I just don't like androphobic Amazons who blame men for all their past ills or metrosexual Europhiles who want men to be like Serge in Beverly Hills Cop.
