I now have a fantastic grandkid because of my kids "upbrining"

Today you have day care, sitters, nannies, expect the school to raise them, give em $$$, all this in place of being a parent. They don't have time for them now and didn't want to "risk" a carreer by having them when they were younger. So they are so out of touch with them they aren't even in the same world.

Have a friend that had them later in life, they are the most fuked up kids you ever met. He got in a fist fight with one the other night.
I still don't see where age has Anything to do with that. I do all those things with my kids and I'm an old fart?

Age has nothing to do with it, there are just as many screwed up young parents as older ones. Bad parenting is bad parenting, there is no age requirement.

Maybe you are an exception, or ???

I see this all the time, go to the store you see people that look like grandparents but are the parent, and their kids are outa control.

What in the world is going on with our high schools?

I mean, thank god he didn't use a gun in the cafeteria, but I would think (in my completely armchair-psychologist opinion) that there were signs leading up to his point. I can't imagine that someone starts off thinking about committing suicide with fire.

And I see just as many baby momma's with their kids out of control. Again, bad parents are bad parents. 15 or 50 doesn't matter.

Don't even get me started with the single moms and their little paychecks in tow.

Kids are outta control everywhere... When my 4 are in public, they are walking in formation behind us, and if they even think about touching something that I do not tell them to touch, or acting up, or even speak when not spoken to, there is consequenses they will not like.

I also believe kids are not allowed to work out frustrations or deal with bullies/frustrations like we could when I was a kid. Schoolyard justice is met with harsh penalties. So kids can't work out the issues themselves. It stews until it gets to an extreme.

Agreed, it has not a damn thing to do with age. It's the shitty progressive culture that society is moving towards, where parents are not accountable, and instead of disciplining their out of control children, they blame it on a "diagnosis" or some other issue they don't have to be responsible for.

Parents act more like friends instead of a parent.

I believe my job is to give my children the skills to succeed in life. Not to please them or shelter them from disappointment. Life is disappointing at times, and if they make bad decisions, they receive bad consequences.

    And just how to discipline?
You can't spank today because if your kid reports you you go to jail, or they get taken away.
And yes alot of older parents rely on the school system for the raising of their kids. Which is a huge mistake. And then The dr's give out drugs like rewards.( he/she needs this)
Fighting and taking care of bullies was part of growing up. (NO NO NO Mo.)

The shitty younger parents you see are a product of thier own shitty parents.

The list can go on and on. I am glad I had mine way back when I was young.

You're putting way too much weight on the age of the parents as to how a child is raised.
