Kids seem to see death in a lackadaisical manner. Someone gets killed, oh well, lets move forward...

On a serious note... Kids this messed up and people think guns are the problem? American is in the gutter. Some people are saying bullying but I don't know... Bullying can be real I guess but so can kids dealing with it and learning. Plenty of bullying happened in the past and I can't recall a single case of a kid setting himself on fire over it.

The occasional suicide, sure. But this is nuts.

The war in Afghanistan has been going on for over 12 years now. If you sign up for the military in a time of war, how do you not expect to serve in a war zone?? "They" did not make anyone sign up. It was voluntary.

Can't do it. "Zero tolerance policy." The kid that stands up to a bully or sticks up for another, get punished just as severely as the bully. And it's not just detention for a couple of weeks anymore either. Something like that can generate a criminal record for a kid these days.
