This guys rant both surprises and saddens me. He has obviously been in the mil awhile - long enough to see the current administration doesn't care about our soldiers in anything more than lip service. Benghazi should have told him they don't have his back. Obamacare and the VA scandal should have told him the gov isn't about quality health care. Homeland security's announcement about returning vets instantly being suspects for domestic terrorism should have told him there is a big target on his back, when he gets out. The administration position on gays in the mil and encouraging muslim members while suppressing Christians and Jews should tell him the "tolerance" and "intolerance" is politically motivated.

These days, I'm stunned whenever I see a rabid liberal serviceman or woman.

He had 3,000+ plus hate mail from his first political anti gun post back in Dec '13, wonder what this post is going to net him? He has a regular column opinion section of writing going on at Esquire. Several are very anti gun, he even goes off on several tangents about pro 2 a crowd and their harassment of Shannon and the MDA. He quotes Mother Jones articles as if they are pure truth....................... sad. so sad.

I cant believe he has served so long in the military earning his place yet his ideology is completely hypocritical of what he does. One thing makes sense though, he LIVES IN ENGLAND according to his writing.

What I find interesting is that he is still writing and submitting this dreck using his official rank, not just Robert Bateman...what does the Army think of political writings from its officers? There had
to be a huge red flag raised after his earlier Esquire ragazine BS; is this a 10-foot pole situation?

I'm also mildly terrified that Uncle Fester here is allowed to be around full auto weapons.

He earned his rank and can use it as a title. I know he is not speaking for the armed forces as each branch has full PR departments for that.
