The Great Kazoo's Feedback
"when you're happy you enjoy the melody but, when you're broken you understand the lyrics".
Keeping my eye on this thread... getting my freedom back this week!
How many agencies have you applied with and how far into the testing process have you made it?
A guy I work with worked graveyard parts for us and just got on with central city pd he was only out of academy a month or so did you apply up there?
You sir, are a specialist in the art of discovering a welcoming outcome of a particular situation....not a mechanic.
My feedback add 11-12 ish before the great servpocaylpse of 2012
I am working security gig about 14-16hr/week on weeknights. I took the job , because it only requires only 2-3hr of walk (20-30min walk per round), and it is giving me all the exercise I need with all the heavy belt (extra weight) on it.
I can add or subtract hours based on my physical condition. (Recovering from severe Arthritis I suffered for 16mo).
My physician approved it too, and he said I am losing about 4lbs avg per visit. I need to lose about 40-50lbs just get back to where I was before suffering from arthritis.
It sure beats joining the gym!
Here are my thoughts. Part time:
-Pizza delivery. College towns are better. Lower tip, but higher volume.
-Securityguard. Easy sit down type. Do not go for ones $16.50+, they work you to death.
-Janitors. However, need to work on a good contract ones. SOme are extremely difficult.
-Work at retail part time. - Working at Dick's 2007-2009 part time was awesome. I learned a lot about golf equipment and custom fitting. I think I worked all depts, except casher. I was basically floater.
About 10 thus far, and the furthest I've made it was the final 3 for one department, and was rejected at the very end. So I know I can make it, just have to keep trying.
UPDATE: I got a job working for Argus Event Staffing at various venues around town, to include Broncos games, Rockies games, Red Rocks, 1st Bank Center and more! The pay is less than ideal, but it's money and seems to be a fun workplace. Getting my Merchant Guard License tomorrow and should start with roaming security at the preseason opener against Seattle.

If you have any GI Bill remaining, just go back and take an Underwater Basket Weaving course for the housing pay.
For the UPS warehouse gig, about how much time do you have to work there where you could quit without it being a waste of their time to have hired/trained you? Basically, going to school next year and need a filler job that won't be peeved I intentionally hired on to only work 6-12mos
