Just had our differential guy look at your pics. He agrees, looks decent with a good pattern. Run it, check the noise level.
If a new ring and pinion keep the load light for the first couple hundred miles, give things a chance to burnish in.

Thanks for the info, never seen anything like that. I've always wished I could work on motors/cars without making the issues worse.
