I'm too much of a control freak/doomsayer to allow work like that to be done where I couldnt actually just drive to the site and drop off/pick up my stuff.

Not to mention if it's already been approved and is an NFA item it's actually illegal to have any work done on it w/o you being present.

Places like Lone Wolf and Tornado Tech are very well known in the NFA community and both are pretty well respected.

NFA as in ATF, BATFE or whatever the hell they want to call themselves these days. Once an item has been approved by the BATFE it's an NFA item and as such it can NOT be worked on or operated by anyone w/o you being present. So if you have got your Form 4 back on your SBR you legally can't ship it out of state to have engraved as this is technically a federal offense. That doesn't mean some still don't do it.. just that it's technically not legal.

Lone Wolf and Tornado Tech primarily do barrel threading. I was commenting on having faith in sending parts to a company and having the work done correctly and being confident that you'll get what you want and get your stuff back, not about engraving. I also never mentioned the BATFE at all. I don't know how you got that out of NFA.
