I'm not debating the rights or wrongs of the gun grab during Katrina because there's no debate to be had, but Katrina was an unprecedented, localized natural disaster which at least explains the thinking.

I won't even get into how we as a military feel about our "commander". All I can say about that is please try to find a population of more than 5% of the military that agree with what he is doing. He has no respect in our military! August will be 15 years that I have served and have not always agreed with the commander's decision but do respect that position. I do not support this man though! I think he is a serious problem to our country and our military! Sad when everyone you work with and know in the military says he's an idiot and thinks he's ruining our country. That's coming from those of us who have the "pleasure" of working under him. Pleasure is a serious overstatement!!!!

What I'm afraid is that when things go bad, they go bad fast. With our crushing national debt, the idiots running our government and combined with the amount of anger around the country, just think of how far our country has slid from the days of Reagan. I don't think this trillion dollar debt is going away, I don't think the anger will die down. So really, can't you see any SHTF scenarios? I sure can. It's not that far fetched.

he could just say "ive been in law enforcement and i dont think it could happen" but anyway being in the fed doesnt mean he can predict a politicians decision. thats like saying "i worked on the field for the broncos, but they will not will the superbowl" that is an irrelevant statement. if anyone thinks that it couldnt happen, you need to open your beady little eyes and look at what has happened before, happening now, and whats coming ahead. its not that far fetched like someone else said.
