I drove up Parker Rd to Gander Mountain last week after the bit of snow that fell and the side roads were glare ice. I225 on the return, to stop by Cabela's, was OK but people were going 25-30MPH in the left lane.

Eh, I just went to costco for printer paper and ink because my wife needed to complete some work. Best time to shop at Costco = blizzard. The place was empty.

Roads were kinda slick because they were wet all day and then we got 3 inches in less than an hour. It made a thick packed down layer. Blizzaks plus AWD I had no problem.

Lots of folks went out this afternoon thinking the storm was a bust. Then the blizzard hit so fast they were surpirsed...even though it shouldn't have been a surprise...all the weather reports said the heavy stuff was going to hit late afternoon.

Dontchaknow. When it snows, Freeway left lane maximum 30 for subbies and Prius', right lane minimum 70 for lifted 4x4s.

Turning to crap for sure now: 5:43pm, on the south end of the Denver metro area, in for the night, time to watch a movie or two, be safe if you have to venture out.

Except the trucks who's owners can't afford to replace those big ass tires, they can't make it off the side streets.

To the folks with bald tires and the folks driving retired police cruisers (also likely to have bald tires) STAY HOME!
