I completely agree with both of you in terms of getting what you pay for.
Omega Manufacturing was recommended on another forum and all of their parts are coming out of Utah. Sounds pretty Merican to me. The one I have now that I'm exchanging for their modular 2 piece drop in is pretty tough and looks great in terms of quality.
I just got into the world of ARs but I'm in the middle of a 63 c-10 frame off so I know quality. And I only buy American made

I'm looking to have fun plinking a few hundred yards away so I've read free floating is the way to go.. that's why I initially chose this style.

Nothing wrong with that. I am just willing to bet you will probably be pretty happy with the way it shoots without free floating it.

But what do I know... I've only been shooting the platform for a little over 20 years.

Anyhow, hope it works out well for you. Make sure to post a picture up when you get it swapped out.

Here's a picture of current rail.. I contacted Omega and they said they would be happy to exchange it for the 2 piece for only a $5 difference but I might just take Colorado_Hack up on his offer and learn something about my rifle as well!

They are pretty legal if you owned it last year prior to July 1st.

Some things should just be left unsaid in public.
