Just watched the press conference, and the San Bernardino PD Lieutenant is just awesome! I would gladly follow him into an active shooter situation! His best line was about how our profession is catching a lot of flack these days, but most, an overwhelming majority, of officers are there to protect the public.
On the gun front, I was looking at getting a Sig 516 Patrol (since my agency just added Sig rifles to the approved list) after Christmas. In the interest of saving money, I think that purchase might be this weekend before prices go out of control. And just ordered 1,000 5.56 to add to what I've already got. Freedom munitions is actually pretty good on the price point.
