Default This ranks as national news ?

While surfing the channels a bit ago, I stopped at one of the national news channel that was doing a segment on
    San B.

And the next segment was about the wrestling club in Halstead, KS. Come on, is this even news at all ?
They could at least listed the website for the club, so that I could get a few chances to win !

It's a semiautomatic not a multiautomatic, so should be good to go.

Halstead is a quaint little town ... my mom grew up on a farm between Halstead and Burton (to the west).

A bit of trivia but the 1955 film Picnic staring William Holden and Kim Novak was filmed in the park there in Halstead.

In other news "Space Aliens Kill 7 Billion" you really think they would report that? (To the remaining 400 million)

Too bad you have to go pick up the rifle in person. They'd probably sell a lot more tickets now if they were willing to ship FFL to FFL.

You could drive there and back in one long day, for -$100 or less at today's gas prices. You could stop at Joebob Outfitters (Hays KS) along the way.

Not a bad investment for a decent rifle, imho.

If you have fam/friends along the route, makes it even easier.

Hayes is about 2 hours away from Halstead (155 miles) and they probably aren't going to drive it up there so you can do the transfer ... there's two gun shops close to Halstead according to Google (my bet is "Dicks Guns" just south of town is where the rifle is right now anyway).

IIRC you can have a long gun transferred to you out of state under federal law?

I love the inconsistency of thought from those apposed to this. Illustrated with two quotes from the article:

Mark Rodenberg has lived in Halstead his whole life, and grew up around guns. But he says this might not be the best prize to give away given recent gun control controversy around the country.
"It's going to upset some parents and may even hurt their ability to raise money in the future," said Rodenberg.
Wrestling Coach Ty Miller says ticket sales for this raffle have been better than other fundraisers they've done in the past.

Wasn't talking about the transfer, just that some members shop jbo online, and might be interested to stop at the actual store. It's actually a fairly small shop, but they usually have some good deals.

Sorry for the confusion. I guess I could have been clearer.
