Default got hit by credit card fraud again

Checked my cc statement today and found a charge on 4/12 of $14.90 by Hosting Sales 888-678-8560 Wa.
So maybe I forgot something I purchased, called them, no one will answer, searched web, all hits show up as fraud.
Called my cc and got card # changed by the fraud department and disputed the charge.
This happened before on another cc I had, no problem with getting it disputed and card # changed.
I'm carefull on the web so not sure where they hacked my account # from.
Anyway if your in WA anytime soon maybe you can track them down and take care of them, do everyone a favor.

Just had a call from Citi Card the other night-2nd card I've had with them that's been used for fraudulent charges. Minor amount but something triggered them to call me.

I got an automated call on Sunday saying it was from the Fraud Dept. of my bank. It wouldn't let me talk to anyone so I hung up. Called the number on the back of the card and the lady said everything looked good but I should contact the bank on Monday because she couldn't access any of my current charges.

Went to the bank they said there were some fraudulent calls going around and they knew about them. That shit pisses me off.

I've had this happen to me a few times back in my youth (lol) and it usually turned out that I had signed up for some dumb thing, and part of signing up was that you agree to have them steal your money out of your account once a month.

I specifically remember that I was looking for auto auctions, called an ad in the news paper, spent like $15 to get some auction listing, and never got the listing. But I sure did get the $25 a month for a few months after that until I figured it out.

Not saying that's what you did, but certainly something to consider.

I've had this happen to me on my last visa/debit card. Only I pay alot of stuff online automaticly plus I only use my card and never carry cash, so this went on for about 6 months till I noticed something odd about a charge of 14.99 a month. Turned out "I" bought CD plan or some bull shit. Called up Wellsfargo, they locked down all those accounts and got all my money back, came to be like 250 some dollars.

I caught a fraudulent charge one time...it was only for .15 which is what got me thinking.
apparently they test the card with something tiny, then charge only $10-15 bucks a month. something you wouldn't notice unless you checked but at the same time if they are getting 5000 people at the same time it pays off big time.
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.

Today one of my employee's received a check for $1800 delivered to her apartment by FedEx. It had a letter explaining she was part of a class action settlement.

She googled the law office listed on the check and gave them a call. The law office said they handled class action suits but did not have her name on record.

About an hour later she received an email saying there had been a mix up and to clear the check she would need to deposit it in her account then mail a personal check back to the return address on the envelope.

She went to file a police report after work. Criminals are getting bold.

I'm sure some of you know this already but be wary of using your cards at restaurants (really careful at one of a kind not corporate places). It can be swiped by your server for all it's info, they write down the rest and what was yours becomes theirs in about 15 seconds....
