when I first saw this thread I thought no way is that purple thing worth a quarter mil.
then I did some looking, one went for 2.2 mil at auction.
maybe it would be worth it to mortgage the house to buy it.

Color matching wheels on a Honda and you're a ricer (you are), but do it on a car and wait 50 years and you're in the money!
If you only knew how many times that thought has crossed my mind in the dozens of times I have looked at the ad. Wish someone would buy it and it would just disappear so it can become a distant memory! What hurts even more (not that I could have afforded it then either) is when I was 16 (I'm 41 now) I saw the exact same thing sitting on a muscle car lot on South Broadway for $10k
As for the 308 GTB one hell of a sexy car especially since you can get a good driver for around 20K these days but something about a 6 cyl built buy Fiat that just doesn't get me going. To bad you couldn't squeeze a Testarossa motor in there.
One of the biggest regrets I have ever has was selling the 1970 plum crazy purple Challenger 440 six pack RT/SE I had when I was 16. I bought the car in cherry condition for $1900 and the only thing it needed was a new power steering pump. A year later I though I made out like a bandit when I sold the car for $6500. Make me cry to think that that car today is worth at least $50k!

HA HA! Glad to see people still know of those places that have become distant memories and I agree he was always over priced! It was actually more north than that. Don't remember the name of the place but it was on the east side white building with a glass indoor showroom. Funny how places like Harry's were shut down for some kind of shady deal or illegal activity. Remember Ken Mausolf Rolls Royce who was shut down and thrown in jail for embezzling diamonds. Ah the good ole days!![]()
Hee,,hee.. yeah, He first opened in '78 or '79 right at the mid point of Littleton and Englewood High Schools. A few years later He moved closer to LHS.. Had a Bud that Bought a 1971 Buick GS there.. He Blew the engine in it about a month later.. Never was sure if it was Harry in rip off mode. Or just the way He drove..
Didn't Harry get popped for drugs or some such? Can't recall for sure..

I once melted a client's Lambo 550 rear bumper while cutting out those wimpy European cats out of the exhaust.. then I became a banker.
