If I can still say anything positive about the military, its that Universities could take some lessons from the military about diversity, race, and putting aside petty differences to focus on the mission.

Yup- Even in the pre-9/11 era, I was impressed how the Army had moved into a truly post-racial environment. Members of all races filled spots up and down the chain-of-command, and you could call a jackass a jackass, regardless of their ethnic origin. If somebody did try to pull the "I am special because I am ________" crap, they got smacked down pretty quick, usually by people of the same _______.

I don't know about banning them, but I would strongly encourage vets (and well anyone with half a brain really) to avoid the socialist indoctrination centers that are modern universities ... unless you're trying to get a STEM or Medical degree, just go get a job ... college isn't worth the cost.

The military itself is now just as bad, if not worse. A person can change to a different university if the one they attend is too left and they don't like it. Can't exactly just leave the military.

On a serious note one of the issues in college are the 1st year students. They need to attend certain courses to earn credits. Question any instructor and it starts rolling down hill. I called out one of my "professors" over her b.s . The looks on the students faces when i did was one of horror. Like, are you serious we need to pass this class.

Fortunately i was auditing classes and not dependant on getting a passing grade.
