    It's always sad and tragic to lose a brother. While I didn't know Deputy Parrish, I know a few deputies with DCSO, and from everything I've been hearing he was a great guy, wonderful husband and father, and a deputy of the most outstanding kind, friendly, loving, respectful and of the highest moral character. My heart breaks for his wife, daughters, family, and the entirety of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. While any loss of a LEO is tragic, this one is painful being that he was so young, at 29. He really shows what most police are, great people who wake up every day to do their part to help others. Colorado has lost a true hero and wonderful soul. I pray for everyone affected by this, and am deeply saddened we have to shroud our badges once more.

    For those who haven’t seen the memorial outside the DCSO Sub station in Highlands Ranch.

    My office is near the route so we received a warning from our HR department;
    A portion of I-25 northbound from Castle Rock to Lincoln Avenue will be closed tomorrow morning from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the funeral procession of Zackari Parrish, the fallen Douglas County sheriff’s deputy.

    The following traffic routes will have additional rolling closures beginning at approximately 8:45 a.m.:
    Northbound on I-25 from Plum Creek Parkway to Lincoln Avenue
    Westbound on Lincoln, then University Boulevard to Wildcat Reserve Parkway
    Southbound from Wildcat Reserve Parkway to Grace Boulevard
    Westbound on Grace Boulevard to Cherry Hills Community Church

    The Castle Rock Fire Department anticipates long delays and suggests drivers use alternate routes.

    Listening to Sheriff Tony Spurlock at the funeral....and it's like learning and losing Deputy Parrish all over again.

    He's awarding the Medal of Valor to him. He's also ordering a position forever be held in the name of Deputy Parrish on the Regional SWAT team.

    Yet if called the Local LE will still respond. Those who hate LE's are usually the first to call.

    I lost the link, there's a story out there how crime has risen in Ferguson since LE's slowed down after .local gov and BLM attacked them for racial profiling etc.. NOW the BLM spokesperson is blaming the lack of Police presence on the rising crime rate

    I couldn't believe the widow got up and spoke. That's generally rare at these events. It was absolutely heart breaking.

    And when Jaimie Jursevics had her funeral at Church of The Nazarene in Englewood, a passerby yelled, "Just a fucking pig" as they drove by, while her remains were being loaded in front of her entire family.
