For those of you who enjoy this match, time to step up.

Cy already runs too many matches and he stepped into the breech so to speak to help out the last few of these. Brad is out and I don't have the time to do them either. If I can get a few folks to commit to helping set-up.score, tear down on a regular basis, I will add this to the calendar for 2018. I am sure Cy will come to some and I will try to be at as many as I can. I can also help with stages even if I can't make the match.

Just need some folks to raise their hands.

Matt Hess has stepped up to be the MD for the CRC USPSA/Carbine match. Still first Saturday of the month, starting in March with September being the last for 2018. Matt will, of course, need help administering the matches. He has been the MD for several clubs and is very experienced in running matches.

Really good to hear. Really had fun last year on the couple of matches we could make.
I'll stop buying black rifles when my wife stops buying black shoes.

    Carbine Shooters,

This is Matthew Hess. If you've shot USPSA at Aurora, you've likely met me and shot on some of my stages.

Do you have a carbine, SBR, or bullpup languishing in your safe? If you're looking for a venue to exercise your carbine, I invite you to come to the CRC match.

My goal is to put on a match that's enjoyable for anyone with a semi-auto carbine mentioned above. “Can I shoot my JP race rifle?” Yes and you will likely do well, but you might find the stages are not up to the challenge the rifle was built to address. If this style of match interests you, the first match is scheduled for March 3rd.

But I can't put this match on alone. I need folks that can develop and build stages.

Schedule – Currently first Saturday of month, March through September. See crci.org, Event Schedule, USPSA Rifle.

Rules & rifle divisions – essentially the same as last year but will publish details before first match.

Match format – mostly run-and-gun field courses. We'll be using the east pistol berms 7-13, including the 200yd range.

If you're willing to help with match, PM me here.

    Matthew

Super pumped for trying this out in March! What kind of optics do you recommend using? Red dot/holographic or a 1-4x/6x/8x, fixed power prism, etc?

Red dot or a 1-4 will be fine. Targets only go out to 200, and those are usually 10" flashers. You could technically shoot the match with a Red dot on a 9mm PCC.

Even if you don't have a carbine, feel free to hit me up and if you buy factory ammo, I have several I can loan out for the match.

That's really cool of you, especially for those who are on the edge about joining the sport! I am building an AR right now (aka I have a lower and that's it haha) and figure now is a good time to build it so I can participate. Just want to build it right and not have to sell and rebuy parts!

What time are the matches usually over? I'd like to participate but have to work at 4pm on saturdays.
    Just call me 47
