What's with the barking?

I care less about the barking than the assault on the guard. As long as the guy is behind bars, I don't care if he barks or not.

FWIW, I spoke with some friends that have seen the Black Panther movie (I haven't had the time yet) and they all said that it's not really barking; the characters in the movie are all a part of some faction that makes gorilla noises as a way to drown out opposition. I don't know if that faction is with the bad guys or the good guys.

That context really doesn't make things any better.

It seems to me that the assailant's barking in the contemporary context indicates a hate crime and not simply a felony assault against a person at risk.

I was just about to say, barking like dogs (didn't a lot of [c]rappers in the 90's do something like that?) is one thing, but making ape noises... I thought that was racist to make those comparisons, even if it is them doing to themselves? Or does that go along with the duality of the use of the "n" word?

After working in the prison systems, I wouldn't bother any attention at the noise some of thee "special" individuals make as most criminal individuals don't act like humans anyways.
