We had absolutely awesome weather yesterday. Temps in the 70s with a light breeze.

Lots of people managed to connect with the tough targets for the match. A one inch plate at 100 meters and a 2 inch plate at 150 meters.

The Test Your Limits Rack was a huge hit and several people managed to go 8 for 8. Hitting a 1/4 inch target at 39 yards was not an easy shot.

We had several semi autos yesterday. Three AR-15s and one 10-22. Mrs K won semi auto division with a 57 and WiseAsset was hot on her heals with a 56.

With the bolt guns it looks like the old 40X was well represented. 5 of the 17 shooters shooting a bolt gun used a 40X. CZ and Anschutz are the other common rifles.

Lots and lots of people were shooting suppressed. In fact, I didn't put an ear plug in all day.

The next match is Sunday, 27 Nov.

I am going to try and run a match on New Years Day but I need to get approval from the host range. Stay tuned.

    Great Match!

Hoser didn't mention that he shot a blistering 88 points out of a possible 94 to win the bolt division. Very impressive shooting!

So for the first rimfire PRS match in Colorado, the 40X Mafia took away top honors with Team CZ hot on their heels. Many congrats to TimK on his high score of 68 out of a possible 79 hits. His Elrod converted 40X absolutely hammered the targets. Close targets at 50 yards and far targets at 220 yards. The small target was a 1/4 inch KYL at 50 yards and most of the 220 yard targets were around 4 inch diameter.

I will try to get some photos up soon.

The next match is 29 Oct. Same same. Belly match from 9-12 and PRS from 12-3.

Everyone that stayed home got beat by a 10 year old girl. Hang your heads in shame.

MB shooting 4-5 inch plates off her RRS tripod at 150 yards like a Rockstar with her CZ455.

The cheese wedge is a brutal prop. Eddie Rhodes built that for us many moons ago.

The mover now has a remote and a car battery for power. It will live at 65-80 yards.

    And more pics from Sunday...

VTAC Barricade with a bolt gun looks easy. Its also a good way to remove scope caps if you put the scope through the port...

Shooting a KYL rack at 50 yards also seems easy, until you have to do it off the top of a barrel.

Pedro and his new Annie killing the spinner.

One of 2 Vudoos at the match getting some offhand and sitting in. The target was a full size steel IPSC at 220 yards. If you look real close at the top picture, just forward of the puff of smoke, you can make out the grey line that I am 99% positive is the bullet. Not bad for an old man driving an old iPhone.

Good times today. Very tough and switchy winds. Several people missed targets as close as 50 yards because of the wind.

The PRS match had the mover out at 80 yards. Good times. Lots of different obstacles to shoot from and lots of different way to skin a cat on all.

Good fun today! Good shooting Hoser

It can be hard to shoot well with the peanut gallery chiming in. Next month I am gonna double up on the ear-pro.
